Russian mining company Norilsk Nickel has cut its forecast for global nickel deficit in 2017 to 45,000 tn from 100,000 tn.Norilsk Nickel is the largest producer of refined nickel in the world. The deficit forecast has been revised as Indonesia has resumed export of nickel ore and the anticipated production cuts in the Philippines have not materialised, the company said in a release. The company also maintained its view that global copper market will be fairly balanced in 2017 and 2018.
