“Nifty ends tad below 8800, Sensex up 109 pts; Reliance down 2%”
The market has ended with gains. The Sensex was up 109.16 points or 0.4 percent at 28452.17 and the Nifty closed up 41.85 points or 0.5 percent at 8786.20. About 1314 shares have advanced, 1359 shares declined, and 232 shares are unchanged.
L&T, Hero, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank and ITC were gainers while Tata Steel, Lupin, NTPC and ONGC were losers in the Sensex.
Nifty 50: Nifty 50 continued its upside momentum again as breakout at 8860 has provided it with much needed upside momentum in previous session and continued its trend again at the as it opened positively with a gap up at 8754 and made high of 8819 before closing the bullish session at 8786 with gain of 42 points or increase of 0.48% to the index. Investors are keeping stock specific approach as index is trading at recent highs and one may see Nifty 50 test 9000 in the same month if current trend is sustained for couple of weeks.

"Stellar listing: RBL Bank ends 33% higher over issue price"
The Rs 1213 crore public issue of RBL Bank, which was earlier known as Ratnakar Bank was oversubscribed 69.62 times on overwhelming response from investors.
After a stellar debut, RBL Bank ended with 33 percent gain from its issue price of Rs 225. The private lender closed trading at Rs 299.95 per share on the NSE. It touched intraday high of Rs 305.50 and intraday low of Rs 274.20.
