Prices of chana in Delhi rose to a four-month-high of 5,900 rupees per 100 kg, following the government's move on Monday to cap the import of urad and moong at 300,000 tn a year. In Delhi, the benchmark market for the commodity, chana was quoted at 5,900 rupees per 100 kg, while in Bikaner, it was quoted at 5,650 rupees. Prices in both the markets were up 150-200 rupees from Monday, traders said. Arrivals of chana in Delhi were pegged at 375 tn today, down from 525 tn on Monday, while in Bikaner, they were unchanged at 700 bags (1 bag = 100 kg).
