Futures contracts of jeera rose over 2% on the NCDEX today, tracking gains in the benchmark market of Unjha in Gujarat. Prices were up in Unjha because of a rise in demand from domestic buyers. Lower stock at production centres in Gujarat and Rajasthan also boosted prices.Arrivals today were steady at 5,000 bags (1 bag = 55 kg).
