The August contract of coriander on NCDEX fell to a near 5-year low of 4,492 rupees today, due to continued imports from Ukraine. Prices also declined as good rainfall in Rajasthan--the largest coriander producing state--this monsoon season will likely help coriander sowing, Kota-based trader Shiv Kumar said. Coriander sowing will begin in October. So far in the Jun-Sep southwest monsoon season, the state has received 45% above-normal rains at 366.4 mm, according to data from India Meteorological Department.
