Wheat Arrival in Harayana touched 4876910 tonnes in the current procurement season. In comparison only 944550 tonnes had arrived in the mandis during the corresponding time last year.
Out of this total arrival 487660 have been purchased by the government procurement agencies at minimum support price. Of this more than 13 lakh tonnes have been procured by Food and Supplies Department where as HAFED has purchased 16.76 lakh tonnes.
Sirsa District was leading in the wheat arrival where more than 5.52 tonnes have so far arrived in the mandis. District Karnal has recorded arrival of more than 5.41 tonnes followed by district kaithal with more than 5.26 lakh tonnes of crop arrival.
