Government
is very watchful with the prices of pulses and is taking every possible action
to prevent the price hike in future.MMTC which is a government agency has issued
tender to import 10000 tonnes of Pulses( Tur and Urad)
Tur
5000
tonnes of tur is scheduled to be imported and should reach back into the
country before the end of April.2500 tonnes will be imported to Mumbai port and
rest 2500 tonnes to Chennai port. The tenders will remain open until 2nd
March and applicants should fill the tender for import of at least 2500 tonnes.
Urad
Urad will
also be imported into the country and should reach the country before the end
of April . The last date of filling the tender is April.2500 tonnes shall be
imported to Mumbai and rest 2500 tonnes to Chennai port.
Earlier
in the months of December and January 5000 tonnes of Tur and 5000 tonnes
of Urad were imported into the country
respectively by MMTC
