The arrival
of new wheat of Madhya Pradesh has started in grain markets.Everyday around
500 tonnes of wheat is arriving in grain market of Indore . Farmers are getting
price of Rs 1500- Rs 1700 for per quintal of wheat. According to trade sources
the quality of new wheat is great and now they do not see any further outbreak
of the pest.
Wheat production
in Madhya Pradesh will remain low as the wheat acreage this year is only 51.8
lakh hectares while it was 63.6 lakh hectares last year and is expected to yield
only 148 lakh tonnes while it was 182 lakh tonnes in the previous year.
